Savings

Thanks to the use of electric propulsion and the fiberglass hull, Sepor is able to reduce energy and maintenance costs by more than 50% compared to the diesel boat with steel hull previously in use.

elettrabianco

is characterized by its autonomy, speed and manoeuvrability, guaranteed by two electric motors of 176 kW each.

Engines

Two electric motors of 176 kW each

Fibergrass hull

Entirely built in fiberglass, a light and resistant material

Measures

The vessel is 16.50 meters long and 4.60 meters wide

The Port of La Spezia thus becomes the first Italian port to carry out solid waste collection from ships with zero environmental impact.

Thanks to its foresight and attention to the blue economy, Sepor once again confirms itself as a pioneering company in the sector.

The adoption of eco-sustainable solutions in the maritime sector is increasingly a priority, in line with the emission reduction and environmental protection objectives established by the European Union, aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Sepor’s project demonstrates that it is possible to achieve these goals without compromising the efficiency and competitiveness of the port industry.

exclusively uses energy produced from renewable sources, partly self-produced by the photovoltaic plant of Sepor’s Port Reception Facility and partly purchased from suppliers who certify its origin from renewable sources.

Thanks to this solution, Sepor is able to manage the entire solid waste collection cycle from ships in the Port of La Spezia with zero CO2 emissions.
